healing and growth take root

Grow Your Vision

At Flourish, we believe there’s no one-size-fits-all path to wellness. Our clinical social workers draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches—such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (BSFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy—along with specialized techniques like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

We practice from a trauma-informed lens at all times, recognizing how past experiences can shape the mind, body, emotions, and relationships. Every session is approached with deep respect for each person’s unique story. Guided by the principles of safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment, we create a compassionate environment where people feel seen, heard, and supported.

Depending on individual needs, we may blend different therapeutic approaches, adapting the process and pace to ensure it feels right and supportive. This flexible, person-focused style means care is as unique as the individual—designed to foster growth, resilience, and flourishing at every stage of life.

Take a look below to explore some of the tools and approaches we use to help you thrive.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy
(ART)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a unique and effective approach to psychotherapy. ART is different because the ART Therapist guides you to replace the negative images in your mind that we believe cause the symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress with positive images of your choosing.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a proven therapy that helps the brain process and heal from trauma, distressing memories, and other emotional challenges. Using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps reduce the emotional intensity of difficult experiences, making them feel less overwhelming. Many individuals find EMDR helps them feel calmer, more in control, and better able to move forward.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

DBT blends mindfulness with skills for managing big emotions, navigating relationships, and coping in healthy ways. It’s especially helpful for individuals who feel emotions deeply and want to feel more grounded and in control.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a practical, proven approach that helps individuals notice and shift unhelpful thoughts and patterns. Together, we work on building tools and strategies that can make everyday challenges—like anxiety, low mood, or stress—feel more manageable.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps individuals make space for difficult thoughts and feelings, while taking action toward what matters most to them. It’s about living in alignment with your values and finding freedom in the present moment—even when life feels messy.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative Therapy sees you as the author of your own story. Together, we explore how past experiences have shaped your narrative and work toward creating one that reflects your strengths, resilience, and hopes for the future.

Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (BSFT)

BSFT is a short-term, goal-oriented approach that focuses on your strengths and what’s already working. We help you identify small, meaningful steps forward so you can create change that feels doable and sustainable.
